Terms of Service

1. Using Traveloonie
Traveloonie (traveloonie.com) is an independent travel site operated by MT. By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
You can read Traveloonie at any age. To comment, submit a story or subscribe you must be at least 13, and if you are under 18 you need a parent's or guardian's permission.
2. What the site is — and is not
Traveloonie publishes travel guides, itineraries, tools and articles for information only. We are not a travel agency, tour operator, insurer or booking platform: we do not sell travel or take bookings or payments. Prices, opening hours, visa rules and safety conditions change, and we cannot guarantee that everything is current when you read it. Always check with the official source before you travel.
3. Affiliate links
Some links go to partners (for example hotel, insurance or flight-search sites) who may pay us a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. Those links are labelled where they appear, and our editorial policy explains how we choose what to recommend. Anything you buy from a partner is a contract between you and that partner, under their terms, cancellation and refund policies — we are not a party to it and cannot process bookings, changes or refunds.
4. Travel insurance
We recommend travel insurance for every trip, but we are not an insurer or insurance broker. Anything we write about insurance is general information, not advice about your circumstances. Coverage, exclusions and claims are decided by the insurer, and choosing suitable cover is your responsibility.
5. Safety and your responsibility
Travel involves risk. You are responsible for checking government travel advisories, entry requirements and local conditions before and during your trip, and for your own health, belongings and safety. Our content is general information and cannot guarantee safety anywhere.
6. Comments and stories you send us
You keep ownership of what you write. By posting a comment or submitting a story you give Traveloonie a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, edit for length and clarity, and display it on the site and in our newsletter, with the credit you choose. Please only send content you have the right to share, and nothing unlawful, hateful, misleading, spammy or that invades someone's privacy. We may decline, edit or remove any submission, and we review comments before they appear.
7. Our content
Text, graphics, logos and design on Traveloonie belong to Traveloonie or are used under licence (photo credits appear with each image). You are welcome to link to any page and to quote a short excerpt with a credit and a link. Please do not republish whole articles or images without written permission. Our printable tools and downloads are for personal use.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Traveloonie is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from your use of the site or from relying on its content — including travel disruption, missed connections, denied entry, or a partner's products or services. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Privacy and accessibility
How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy. Our accessibility statement explains what we do to make the site usable by everyone, and how to tell us when it is not.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version.
11. Contact
Questions about these terms: email hello@traveloonie.com or use the contact form.
